IISD is the brainchild of renowned industrialist, banker, journalist and philanthropist Mr. H.P. Kanoria. He is the editor-in-chief of "Business Economics" (Estd. 1995). He is noted for his love for the environment. Issues like empowerment of women and inspiring children are very close to his heart. He gets his inspiration from the teachings of Ramakrishna Paramhansadeb, Swami Vivekananda and other great personalities. He is a man of simple living and high thinking.
